How it works

Funded, then live. Here's the order.

Trading North East businesses can claim 40-50% of a website project back through local funds. Here's how the money works and how a project runs.

The funding

You pay first, then claim it back.

The grant is retrospective. You pay for the project, then the funder reimburses your share once it's finished. North of Tyne (Northumberland, Newcastle, North Tyneside) covers up to 50%. Sunderland covers up to 40%. The exact rate and any caps depend on the live scheme at the time, so we check eligibility before any work starts.

The process

Funded, built, then managed.

  1. Check eligibility. A quick check of your business and location against the current funds.
  2. Shape the job. A short call to agree site size, services, and the enquiry or booking journey.
  3. Build the first version. Pages, contact routes, trust content, hosting, and SSL put together.
  4. Launch and claim. The site goes live, you submit the claim, and the funder reimburses your share.
